I would like to use holiday in Japan, Lolita, and I'm American, but I was almost afraid to Lolita in Japan.
Do you know how xenophobic Japanese people can be? I'm not saying all, but it resturaunt in Japan, with signs in the windows, the "NOT U.S.". I'm not lying, either to say.
Do you know how the Japanese society is conformist? Lolita is not accepted. Lolita is ridiculous. This is no ordinary way, as some seem to believe.
Now put the two together and try to imagine how it could be treated.
If you be yourself. If you seriously think a Lolita, then by all means do. But if you do not how they are treated, do not. And notbecause you are moving to Tokyo.
